Since the new companies act, there’s been a lot of confusion about whether or not auditors can still do company secretarial work.
SAICA recently released a guide on what non audit services an auditor of a company can provide, and they say that as long as you’re not taking responsibility for ensuring that the company complies with legislation, then you can still do all of the company secretarial admin. (Section 8(b) and Appendix II (c))
